Visited SGD for dinner yesterday and it was amazing!! The tofu soup was so flavorful and the Galbi was perfect. Bibimbap came out sizzling hot and was delicious. Service was quick and friendly. Will be coming back very soon! Definitely a must try when in Irvine.

I didn’t go looking for this restaurant that day. I was actually heading to the Japanese home-style place next door, but the name “Sogongdong ToFu ” caught my attention, so I ended up stepping inside. I was surprised for two reasons: first, that a well-known soon Tofu House restaurant existed in a location far from the usual Korean community, and second, that it took me a whole year to even discover it. Getting to the point… The restaurant was clean and cozy in size. Overall, the food was neatly presented and delicious (though the banchan (Side Dishes were a bit on the sweet side). It may not be as good as the big-chain 북창동 순두부 , but its convenient location near my house, clean interior, reasonable prices, tasty Tofu Soup and the warm kindness of the owner lady will definitely bring me back again

Super solid Korean tofu house. The menu is simple and there are no bad options. The combo comes with a tofu soup and a meat options, which is great value. The banchan are great and come with big variety. The food was all delicious, staff are very friendly and attentive, and the interior is cozy and clean.

I eat sundubu A LOT, this is literally my favorite ever. There's something unique to the soup base bc it tastes more umami than any other place. Better than kaju, BCD, or my old favorite Beverly sundubu in ktown! The lady and young man were very attentive. Loved how crispy the rice is and even better with extra onions.

I absolutely love Korean food, and I was so happy to find this place so close to my home! I ordered the special combo with beef ribs and tofu soup, and it came with six delicious side dishes. I finished everything—not a single bite left! The restaurant is clean, the food came out within a reasonable wait time, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. Overall, it was a wonderful dining experience. Highly recommended!
